Broken toe

Recommended Posts

So i have neglected Dolly's training since the pup's have come along :icon_redface: . So i thought what with a few big competitions coming up i'd start to put some time in , just us 2 without the pup's :whistling: . We went out and had a good 2 hour run chasing small furry things and all was well, baring running full pelt head first into some sheep fencing :icon_eek::laugh:

As she got out the car i noticed she was limping so checked her over when we got indoors. I thought she had dislocated her toe so i pulled it down to pop it back it which it felt like it had :hmm: [bANNED TEXT]'t to bed and thought that i'd have another check in the morning. Woke up to the same thing so off to the vets. X-ray concluded that she had broken her toe :no: The vet said that when i pulled it about i had more than likely realigned the bone to where it should of been, hence feeling like it had gone back into place :hmm: Anyway after all the pulling and poking on the night of the event, trip to the vets and him and the nurse doing the same Dolly didn't once grumble, whimper or growl, not a single sound :notworthy: I'm so proud to call her my dog, especially after the display of IMO ' True stafford characteristics '

On a different note has anyone had any experiance with an injury like this before ? The vet reckons the bandage can come of in around 2 weeks and see what happens from there ? Someone else has said around 6 months :censored: I have posted here and not in Terriers section as i would of thought that more Running dogs / Lurchers have had this problem due to the nature of their work.

Thanks in advance
