gibby 0
I control the rabbits on a golf course up the road from me. Both the guy in charge of the golf course and the head greenkeeper are VERY thankful for my services. However, you are right if you think that some people will try and give you a hard time. One time I was ferreting a warren right near the club house when some guy came up and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was ferreting and he started walking towards me asking me what I was doing on the golf course. Anyway he soon turned about when I told him who had given me permission. No apology or anything just an "oh" and he walked away. So I said "And you are?" as he walked away but he pretended not to hear lol! Had a few other situations where Ive had bad looks and people ask what Im doing but most decent people know that Im helping the golf course by getting rid of the rabbits. Even been asked by a golfer to do his ground and his neighbours farm When it comes to gaining permission, the worst they could say is no at the end of the day mate, but you should go direct to the head of the commitee etc, or the head greenkeeper to ask them.
