Hi Peoples, three weeks ago I located a 12 month old Whippet xBull Dog, I was hoping to line my Bull Bitch with it but the Bitch was far too tall for the Dog, never mind. Back to the drawing board. Anyway, I have been taking him out every day, getting him used to me, his recall has not been good at all. All of a sudden he has started listening brilliantly. I was up early this morning, and as one of the places I take him was full of cattle, so I went to another place. As it was first light there seemed to be plenty of scent about, the dog put his nose down and he was away. I have never seen such a transformation in a Dog. He was hunting as if he had been doing it all his life. Talk about made up. The guy I got him from had said that he had doe no hunting with him whatsoever. It just goes to show if there is any hunting instinct in a dog it will come out eventually. WW.
