Bitch has single pup to rear

Advise please,

 

For the first time ever in all of my years breeding terriers my bitch has only one pup, now when it comes to weaning, I get pups started off on goats milk and rusks, seperate them from mam when 4 weeks old and put them in a puppy pen in the garage with heat lamp, thats fine with more than one pup, but this wee guy will need company, if I keep him with his mam, she will eat all the food that is ment for him during the day, I don't know if she will regurge any grub for him as I will be at work from 7.30am till 4.30 pm I always like to feed pups four times a day, never had the problem of a single pup before.

 

Any advice appreciated
