colliebird 1 Posted March 13, 2010 Report Share Posted March 13, 2010 Dogwatch No. 438 Suspicious Vehicle Spotted at 12.15 today 8th March, in Stoney Lane OX9 near Pyrton, a blue flat bed truck (Ford Cargo 75E15 Day Dropside Lorry) with a crane on the back. VRN is S83* *AW with 2 men on board. This is the second time today this vehicle has been spotted in this area. When approached it turned around, churning up the grass verge and drove off at speed attempting to prevent the number being taken. Dogwatch No. 439 1 Badgers and Deer targeted in The Stonor Valley. On Saturday morning (7th March), a deer was found dead in a field near Pishill. One leg had been broken, and one had been cut off and removed from the scene. A number of fields in the Stonor Valley had been driven over during the night. A dead badger was found in one of the fields. Not only did it have a broken leg, but a coloured marble was found lodged in one of its eyes. We suspect this may have been done by a catapult. 2 Stolen Land Rover This morning (Thursday 11th March), a Land Rover was stolen in Stonor. The thieves had cut into a compound in order to remove the vehicle. A deer with a broken leg and other damage to its body was found nearby in a field. The field, and others in the area, had been driven over during the night. Crime Refernce Number MH354171210. Dogwatch No. 440 Suspicious Vehicle A grey transit van, VRN N464 BO? was seen at a farm in Bix today. When approached, the occupants (2 men and a young boy) claimed to be looking for scrap metal. Once confronted, they hurled a stream of abuse before driving off.
