nogger 0 Posted February 14, 2010 Report Share Posted February 14, 2010 just been looking in the loading shed and found a old box of speer 130 grn flat base sp bullet heads in 308, but cant find any loading data for them in my speer no 12 loading book, there is some data for a 130 grn hollow point part no -2005 but these are part no 2007, has any one got any upto date loading data for these heads please , thanks in advance Quote Link to post

clint 45 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Share Posted February 17, 2010 My father use this caliber in 308 winchester with reload15, he use 40 gr low , & 50gr hight load, please be careful, best he say is Varget 45gr to 50 gr maximum, good caliber for big wild pig too. good luck. Quote Link to post
nogger 0 Posted February 18, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) thanks clint , i brought some varget for the 308 a while ago and used it on some 150 grain loads but it didnt go very well but with diffrent heads , wwho knows . it nearly duplicates h380 powder but my barrel didn't get on with it , but will try again with these speer heads . thanks mate , ps is dad using 130 grn heads ?
