NewBarnFerrets 3
I haven't been out ferreting for a month due to work, weather & the flu!......so it was good to finally get back out today. I took three of my jill's & went to one of my permissions in the Isle of Purbeck. Cold but sunny.......& the odd flurry of snow. Today I used a mixture of long nets & purse nets due to the position of the warrens I circled the long net around a small group of bushes & placed two ferrets down. 1st bunny of the day didn't bolt & was caught by Sybil (my lad named them!), luckily my dad was near the entrance to the hole & managed to grab the bunny.......he pulled it out along with a ferret latched to the rabbits ear! 2nd rabbit bolted & that seemed to be it from there, so moved on. Moved to a small bury & got two more to bolt. Then moved to a bury in the open field. Bolted two from here straight away. Enjoyable day. I may pop back down tomorrow with the 12g or .22 rimmy.
