neon854 0
Dear noble fellow hunters. I am addressing you with a matter of some significance to me. I hope very much for one or more responses. I'm a shotgun hunter from Denmark and am searching for a specific kind of shotgun case. My gun is a Baikal over/under 12-70 from the early 1980'ies and is, I believe, a little longer than usually. Thus, the two barrels are 52,5 cm. I would like to locate a short case for it, that is one where the weapon is kept whilst dissembled. This is to travel more conveniently, as I have no car. Preferably, it should have a strap and carry the parts in some kind of seperated compartments (to avoid scratches etc.). Now I wonder: what is the name of this kind of a shotgun case in English? Does anyone know where they can be purchased (new or second hand)? Best regards, Jakob. Quote Link to post
danebrewer10 6
I think they'd be called a traveling case, some people make the hard type, leather covered and lined with velvet, but here's a couple of soft type cases from Napier HERE not too cheap but then good things never are, should do the trick! Or this at the Sportsman Gun center- HERE Cheers DB Quote Link to post

What do you hunt with it? 20 inches? not that short, seeing as most barrels seem to be around 22" i'd say it'd be a good length for work in an enclosed high seat, from a vehicle, or pushing through vegetation or under low branches Quote Link to post

Under 24" for a shotgun means it's a FAC weapon in the UK. Edited January 30, 2010 by rjimmer Quote Link to post
