FIxing a deer stop on a fox snare

I have recently purchased a couple of fox snares from TrapWorks. They have a deer stop but it is not fixed in postion,

 

Could someone please advise on how to best fix the deer stop inplace at the recommended 9"

Hi Mutimer, measure 10 inches into the noose from the stop at the eye and hammer in place. Do not over tighten as this will damage the snare wire. The stops are very strong as they have a thread inside which helps grip the wire.
