allrounder lad 0
hi all, as you all know i have been trying to keep everyone updated on the applacation of my sgc."member the sgc from hell hahaha".well the last time i gave my fao a call was on the week between christmas an new year. were he said that he had been in contact with my clay club and spoke to my instructor to whom i had 2 lessons with just to make sure thats were i was going to be shooting.i have also contacted my referee and he has been out and had a quick chat with him which the referee said went fine.(all took part 28 dec).its just i,v heard nothing yet and i was thinking of giving them a bell too morow for an update.also what is the procedure of a decline of application is it a letter phone call or .ect.or how long does the decline letter or that take to come in. its just i have a breech of the peace from roughly 7 years ago when i was 20 and the fao said to me that he cannot support my application to the chief of police.no cations or warnings :i got a disclosore from the police: heres the piece that might help some people i,am insured by basc, and have a national deploma in gamekeeping and wild life and conservation witch includes good qulifications on use of guns such as .dsc 1,and shotgun and riffle use.wich states that i am more than reliable with firearms.(i got the qualifacations after the breach).i sent that and my insurance away with my app at the start which me and fao discused about at the interview. and i also have permissin to shoot at my clay club.hope this gives some help to people who are applying and thinking of applying. its just i played football at a very high level and unfortunatly my knee has went and am not aloud to play anymore so i see this as my future with thoughts of getting back into keepering in some years. oh an a would luve a good nights sleep hahahaah. whats alls thoughts . njc110381 0
Your FEO said he cannot support your application the the chief? That to me says that he doesn't think you should have one? If you were charged 7 years ago then it shouldn't apply and I can't see the issue though? Quote Link to post
allrounder lad 0
well thats what am concernd about njc and that is what he said to me "i.am not going to support your application but i will add to the report about all your qulifacations and so on" and why should it not apply Quote Link to post
njc110381 0
I'm not really sure what you could have done to make him take that approach. You got a breach of the peace seven years ago, is that it? What were the circumstances of that? Have you done anything since? Cautions? Speeding tickets? Anything at all? Did you list everything on the application? I can only think that there is something you said that he didn't like. I have no idea what but he obviously didn't approve of something. On a positive note and another way of looking at it perhaps because of your conviction he couldn't give you a clear yes because he doesn't have the authority? When I was interviewed my guy only said that he thought I should be ok, not that I would get it. I left seven years from my conviction, which I can assure you was a lot worse than yours!
