borntoshoot 1
hi all, i went ferreting for the first time with my own ferrets last week and this last 2 days my hob has been scratching and rolling in the shavings alot. he keeps rubbing himself along the mesh on the front of my hutch aswell. both have been treated with frontline spot on for fleas and ticks. i wondered if its the bedding, they have straw bedding with a few small squares of blanket in there at night. does anyone know whats causing him to keep scratching? BEARINATOR 2,924
Change the bedding, certain sawdust will make them scratch as well if it's sawdust change it to shavings, as shavings shouldn't have any dust in it. The dust also irritates the eyes and nostrils as well Quote Link to post
John-B 4
could still be mites, could be prickles off nettles, could be thorns, could be the ferret is still moulting. Quote Link to post
