kinked tail

i am just wondering if a dog has a kinked tail, does it harm the way they run? strike? or anythng? cause i am thinking of buying a puppy with this, apparently its were the mother had so many puppys and she nipped its tail wat do you rekin on this?

Make sure it isn't broke. I have a dog with a kinked tail and it doesn't effect her running or anything of that sort. Also have a dog with a broken tail 2 inches from the tip have been to the vets, vet said to leave it alone and make sure it has the blood flowing through. Also check the skin colour of the pups tail and make sure it is pink in colour so the blood is pumping through to make sure it isnt broken.

i have had a look at the pup and at the end of its tail its got like a little ball type lump, but it seems fine runs around normal but its still early should i take it to the vet before i say am going to buy it judt to double check?

i would have the vet to check it out. just to make sure its ok.

Was it a congenital kink, born with it? If so, wont bother the dog at all.

my bitch has a slight kink and it's never affected her at all, and her litter sister has a double kink and it hasn't affected her either.If your thinking of showing then its a minor fault

cheers people for the comments i didnt bother with the dog in the end, found another litter 200mile away and found a nice lil bitch well pleased
