HUnter_zero 58
Some of you guys might well know the chaps involved here. I know three of them. "A former chairman of the UK Association of Professional Deer Managers, Derek Stocker, from Somerset, was convicted of false representation under the 2006 Fraud Act and of poaching two deer under the 1991 Deer Act at Sudbury Magistrates’ Court on 22 September." flint67 2
i have to say i dont really understand this (but gun law isnt really my thing) . .why was the stalker charged but not the 3 paying guns? Surely they are all guilty of trespass with intent to take game , and assuming it was the guns who shot the deer ,not the stalker why was he charged , other than trespass with intent ,hes only really committed fraud , and poss only deception. Isnt it every stalkers legal duty to ensure they are hunting within the law ? Is "oh he told me it was ok" really an acceptable excuse? No loss of certs in the report. This all reminds me of a story doing the rounds down here 20years ago , a legendry old poacher was charging a london butcher a couple of hundred a pop to come down and shoot deer . . . . . .in a deer park !!! . . . . . .AT NIGHT !!! eventually a landrover pulls up and the poacher says "thats just one of my underkeepers , wait here i ll go and have a word" then disappeared into the night , leaving the paying gun to carry the can , still cracks me up to this day !
