Had been neglecting my duties a bit so i popped down the filed for a bit of a rabbit session.

I was using crossman accupel pellets and they are superb. I have been using logun penetrator for a while now but couyldn't find any so i thought i'd try these pellets and I find them much more accurate. On rat head spinning target at 27 yds i was hitting it everytime where as I used to hit about 9 / 10 with the penetrator ones. Anyway popped down about midday to zero the rifle and see where abouts the runs were. I stowed my gear away and went back the house for some tea.

I popped back about 6 and dug in, I'm an ambusher not a stalker really. I sat still for an hour and nothing was showing at all, last time I shot this field there were hundreds of rabbits running about here. I happened to look around and could see lots of activity back towards the gate so I though I'd have a stalk. I carwled behind bushes till I was about 200 yds away from bunny then went down on my front, there was no cover at all so I was trying to keep so low. The rabbit spooked a few times and I froze til he went on eating. It took me about 15 mins I was moving an inch at a time pushing myself along with my toes and elbows in the "plank" position. I got right on him and slipped the gun out and had him squarly there. Squeezed one off and missed!! :clapper: I couldn't believe it. I was dripping in sweat in my dpm coat after having crwaled and for nothing. ah well you win some you loose some. There wasn't much else happing don't know if there are in the gripws of mixie or what but it was very quiet.
