Squirrel_Basher 17,103
Cheers mate .I agree with you about him being in his prime ,the only prime beast ive shot this season by the way .I would make a guess as to him being 4 years old ,maybe 5 but definately no more .Ive watched this buck come up through the ranking on this patch .It was him that dominated the rut last year .Identification on facial markings not antlers by the way .Same area pre rut then he wanders the whole patch ,lording it over all he surveys .The cape and head are in the freezer but thats another story .Wont get it back for a while to weigh .Went to the same patch first light yestersday,no rifle , just to satisfy myself that it was him and saw 2 more bucks in his place so the future is rosey Waidman -Just to answer your question mate ,the bucks on my ground average 43lb over a season and does 37 lb .I would put that buck at a gestimate of 45lb .Thats it for me now on my ground but i will be accepting invites from those not up to date with their culling .
