air arms S410 TDR

Recommended Posts

Rifle working fine then i took it to check sights were correct and it wouldnt even hit the target :icon_eek: so fired a few more shots through it and it hit the target surround but with no power whatsoever, it was then it dawned on me that something is resticting the pellet when it leaves the rifle, so i took off the silencer and its working fine, i put the sileancer back on and it worked fine, then i went out hunting and it started misfiring again, totally shatters your confidence when your expecting something to go wrong before you pull the trigger, very annoying, has anyone else had anything like this??

Never had anything like that, :(

take it to your gunsmith or try ringing Blackpool air rifles they will offer you some advice. :)

Does it work all the time with the silencer off? May be just the silencer.

If not sounds like a valve 'O' ring problem.

Have you run the pressure right down before recharging as this could have had an adverse effect on the valve.

Hope you get it sorted :)

thanks for the advice, initally ny nephew was using it as i bought it for his birthday cough cough (not for me hoenst) and i thought he had buggered it, but when i took sileancer off it worked fine, i then put it back on and it worked ok until i went to shoot a rabbit and the first 3 shots missed completely so i took it of and it nailed the rabbit i think it felt sorry for me! i think its clipping the side as it exits as small bits of pellets fall out of the sileancer when i take it off, bloody annoying as you think it will happen all the time and it puts you off.

Yeah doing the tourist bit, we're dropping the kids off at her mams in Irvine and going out and about. :)

When I was a kid I remember going to some where near John o Groats and at low tide off the rocks you could see huge pollack patrolling the edge of the rocks. :)

Always wanted to return and see if I could catch one :D

Hoping to do that next week :)

Right, will bare that in mind, thanks. :)

I was just looking at the FAC Air arms s410 in my local gunshop still keep toying with the idea of getting one, I would still keep my standard s410.

The geezer in the gunshop reckons they are good for 90 yd shots, dont know how true it is, someone may say if its right. :)

maybe the bore on the inside of the silencer has worn with it being a take down fifle and coming on and off so many times?if this was so it might make it a loose fit and prone to being off centre.

just an idea.i'm not a big fan of TDR's in general,my thinking being all this up and down must take its toll on the components.

could be wrong but just my thinking. ;)
