ghillies 209
as the light goes (about an hour before dark) the apature has to open, the shutter speed slows and things start to blur, so out comes the tripod..... only, at full extention at near on 6 feet tall when you click the button the pod moves and blurrs the picture.. so on goes the timer, click... and the pod top is a wobbling ever so slightly, a bit like a prong thats been twanged, now i need a wired remote switch, the IR one does work ok, apart from when you hiding behind a scribbed pod and camera... ISO 100 (noise just gets worse as it darkens as the ISO goes up). 263mm f/5.6 1/60 of a second apature priority metering mode : patern. wind gently picking up at random and the sun about a hands width above the horizon. The blurr i think is the grass moving and the the rest is out of focus because the apature number is so low to allow more light in in an atemp to get the shutter speed a little faster to cancel out the winds movement and reduce blur. on a hi zoom and at distance i'm doomed lol...maybe.... i was there at the time i thought i'd try anyway. (live and learn).
MuttleMcTuttle 21
Well, you got the bit with the bunny in focus anyway, and that's all that matters really. You need to get your hairy butt out of bed early and catch them when they're out warming their backs in the morning sun, bit more light then Does your tripod have a hook in the centre that you can hang a weight on? That should steady it a bit. Take a bag and put a few big stones in it to weight the tripod down, but make sure it's strong enough to take the weight... The remote switch should work... or have you broken it? You should be able to get away with ISO up to 400 with your camera, providing you don't mangle them too much afterwards...
