hi all,

 

as the title says, just wondering how long pheasant can keep in the freezer?

 

i have 2 birds, skinned ( were frozen when i tried to do them in february), gutted.

 

they have been in the freezer since feburary the 3rd (i think) will they still be ok to eat? considering they have been in there for 5 months?

I'm sure there are restaurants that use Pheasant from last season before they begin to get the new stuff in October. In fact, I'm sure that the guy who runs the Pot Kiln in Berkshire, Mike something, did it on TV.

 

ok i thaught it would be ok but thaught id check anyway.

 

we went to a local pub/restaurant for fathers day and i had duck so i thaught it must have been in the freezer for a while.

 

i did wonder how long they would keep for but thaught it would be fine,
