fin and fur 2
Nice fish, i have often wondered if the Mersey produces the same species as the Bristol channel, both being mud esturays. I see that you have bass and hounds, do you get much in the way of flatfish too, the bristol channel plays host to many and also enjoys a good (well not so good in recent years) cod run too. all the best fin and fur Edited July 8, 2009 by fin and fur Quote Link to post

Sounds like the Mersey authorities have got it right when it comes to the ethics of handling boats. The Bristol channel is besieged by Jet ski's, people who would like to think they can sail but cannot, and come holiday season by people taking to the water in all manner of totally unsuitable craft seemingly unaware that they are entering the channel with the second highest rise and fall of water in the world. The lifeboat is a regular sight in the Bristol channel, especially at this time of year, doubtless hoping to catch hold of the unfortunates before they are washed out into St Georges Channel. It sometimes surprises me how little regard some people show for their own lives. Quote Link to post

Your spot on by saying ( It sometimes surprises me how little regard some people show for their own lives. ) Jet ski's,An people wow theres an interesting comdination of masters of the universe meets dumb, I have lost count of stupid things these people get up in their pursuit for fun they are a pain in the arse to lifeguards an lifeboat people Becaues there not aware of dangers an the forces around them till its all to late, the mersey floods at a fast pace of knots becaues of the way it's situated plus the traffic ie ferries, tankers, container ships an that bloody seacat seems tobe in an out like bluearse fly it's the wake off these things their not even aware of safe water training the best thing I ever did money well spent for the safety of my friend and me. Thanks, fin and fur ( tight lines mate ) Edited July 10, 2009 by nelson1 Quote Link to post
