Howdy folks,

I fed a rook last night to me ferrets and now thaye seem to have got bird lice off them.

Will they die off i wonder, as the ferret is not their real host?

I will get some spray or powder today, when i get the chance.

What do you think, will they live on the ferts long?

They got infected last night and still have them this morning.

Frank.

i think that they will stay on the ferrets because of the fur, but i would say that it would be hard to find a spray or powder that is not too much dosage for ferrets, small animals i would recomend

hope them lice leave your ferrets alone

they wont stay on the ferts mate as if they did everyone who ownes a ferret dog bunny and any other thing that mett a bird would be out buying feather lice dust.

the lice feed on the dust from the birds feathers...i think lol

Cheers Bullsmilk :good: I thought the same thing, but was not sure.

Only found 2 on one of my ferrets this afternoon, much less them this morning.

Anyone else had experience with lice from feeding birds to ferts?

Frank.
