Permission / bringing pup on

Recommended Posts

Hello fella's, Im asking a favour a big favour, but im premature, again says the wife, anyway I picked my new dog up on Sunday (8Wk) over the next 12 months I'll be putting a great deal of time and effort into her training her, all usuals + stock broke, retrieve, jumping etc, all in all to get a well mannered biddable pooch, well whats the favour....is there anyone within the Nottingham area who will invite me to bring a young dog (course when dog mature enough and ready) so she can watch how it should be done, by an experienced dog / dogs, Ive heard that this is a terrific way to bring youngsters on....problem is Ive got noone with the same interest as me so therfore dont know any working dog / owner, im a hard working 38 Yr old fella, who has recently got back into field sports (just had to have last lurcher put to sleep at 14 Yrs...gutted), your advice and hel;p would be greatly appreciated, Craig

Hi Gaz thanks for your prompt reply, it's not the permission thing mate, Im not bothered about letting me dog off the leash, I am interested however in giving her the best possible chance at learning as much as possible, it's not fair that my limited experience with running dogs should be a negative on my pup, im prepared to simply stand and watch with her, so we both can learn, Craig
