we found a baby jack daw yesterdayfunny enough, it had fallin out the nest it was still alive but the older birds above us where going mad.

And few weeks ago i also seen a yong chick looked a few days old, and i noticed there was a nest in the tree above, i guessed it had fallin out?

the problem is the chicks arn't near any trees or near the house finding on the ground near the road side aswell,and in the middle of the garden with no nesting places in my garden. the next door got a few conifors?

Very rare for a chick to actualy fall out of a nest, unless they are fledging.

then its more than likely they are being picked from the nest, i probely wouldnt worry to much.

a crow were attacking kids and the teachers yesterday at the local school cos they was a young un in the play ground injured,the kids had to be locked inside till the rspca came to remove the young crow,it also had to be put to sleep ohhhh.its a true storey look it up in the hull daily mail.

What Time of Year Would You Recon Is Best To Catch Magpies In A Trap

I've never trapped any, so i'm no expert, but i should imagine, early spring would be most productive though you can trap them all year roud.

 

i'm talking about a larsen trap with a call bird.

 

i'm sure someone will put me right if 'm wrong. :thumbs:
