cracking guns mate! ive got a normal lightning because i couldnt afford the XL at the time, very well made, nice size and nice to handle. i personally tink they are well worth their price but definately have a look around for the cheapest because ive seen some dodgy prices going about!

they are very good guns, nice to handle, light so is good for young hunters. only one thing, the recoil is a little twangy.

could you reccomend a good gun for under £200-£250 that would be good for hunting (quiet, easy to handle, reliable.)

apart from the lightning xl, you could get a orgininal lightning below your price range, the orginal is the same except shorter silencer and the stock is less balanced. you could get a 2nd hand AA s200 as well for your price range, wich are light and easy to use guns. although in my opinion (as it is the only gun i've got) i would stick with the lightning xl as it is a good gun.

yeah, thats what i thought you should always start with a springer as not only are they cheaper, they discepline the shooter. so i would go for the lightning xl. the gun in the pic to the left is a xl in beech stock. and as you can see it can easily take rabbits if youre shooter has enough experience on targets.

If my bsa supersport is anything to go by then the lightning is brilliant! good guns. there is a hw 80 on the second hand part of the forum with an ox spring that might be a good buy. bsa and weirauch are both good.
