reynard 3
A neighbour who does a bit of ferreting with his whippet, is after getting a litter from her and is thinking of using an Irish terrier. He has asked if I knew of any working dogs that he could use over his bitch. Now the question is does anyone know of any Irish terriers that have been used for hunting in the last say 5 to 10 yrs. I have heard the odd tale about dogs but they seem to be of years gone by, if you could help get in touch. Cheers. Quote Link to post
Panna 68
I don't exactly know what the (original) work of an Irish terrier was, but in Hungary some use them for blood tracking. http://irterrier.hu/gal/munka/ I wish you and your friend luck to find fine working Irish terriers mate! Guest oldskool
does it have to be an irish terrier??? there is a few lads on here with full wheatens that seem to be able to do all the tricks ... a lad on here has a wheaten x whippet that could be right up your street... its called ozzy and i think cleanspade owns it?? it was just a thought because they are easier to obtain and wheatens are pretty close to being irish terriers are they not?? reynard 3
I spoke to him earlier and he says he would like to use an Irish and would even buy a pup of a breeder to work with his whippet and then breed at a later date, but I will mention about the wheatens. Quote Link to post
