My 2 year old Golden Retriever is still laid up at home after 3 weeks and more than £600 in vet bills. All thanks to grass seed in his paws.
To avoid this problem in the future, apart from keeping his paw fur trimmed and checking his paws frequently, is it worth buying dog-boots? I'll admit that I didn't do this often enough before this problem, or it might have been averted. Another lesson learned the hard way.
He beats during the game season over fairly flinty ground, accompanies me when I go rough shooting and also goes for long (10+ mile) walks.
