After our beloved lurcher bitch Tanni died a year a ago we had a vacancy. We were told of a bad case picked up by South East Dog Rescue. Heidi was a problem dog, too aggressive and disturbed for adoption. When we saw her she was covered in years of matted, dirty fur; she dodged and snarled at attempts to stroke her; she was emaciated with a pot belly, obviously from malnutrition (she ate rubbish); and she barked non-stop and attacked other dogs.
