    Thx for the reply phil but to be honest i have never been to the humberside shooting grounds in driff but may go this summer one weekend to check it out. I have been told there is a gun and rifle club in hull near the town center but still have to find out about it. So if i do i will pm you and then i may see you there ok mate.

    I live in hull phil it was actually for study purposes first then i purchased the book and your right it is all about the tools. Like anything if you want to start to create or build something everyone has to start from scratch. I will buy the inexpensive tools first of all like rasps and so on. I have the use of a drill press band saw dremel multi tool chisels the only main item i haven't got use of at the moment is a hobby metal lathe to do the metal work with like the action and so on. But has i have been told if you want to make my own pneumatic from start to finish that means stock aswell

    I have actually bought the book now and its very interesting so i may get too build one yet.

    yes your not far wrong rez the stock i more a less copied from a couple what was on google images and the barrel and action to the pcp are all more a less the same all i did was added my own colors and setup for the barrel and resevoir like the muzzle brake in colored alloy the regulator cap the same bolt in brass and so on there is so much custom parts for the rifles now its unbelievable what you can do. That is why i want the book so i can check it out for the dimensions and so on so i know exactly what i need to do the job i,e if i can do the job at all.

    From scratch but based of the buckley design, but its not from the first edition its from the 2nd edition. But was told from a custom builder, when he used the books a few years back when he first started told me the first edition went through every little detail and was more technical to follow, where as the 2nd was still full of detail just less technical, and easier to follow thats when he suggested, if you have never built a rifle before, go with book 2 like he did, as book 1, was more for advanced builders.     Here is a rough type of pencil sketch i did on photoshop of the rifle i was toying around with. The design i wouldn't mind building sometime, but even this isn't the final result of the rifle, its just a digital sketch of the prototype, but i have't fully decided on which stock is best yet, has this stock is more like the competition field target stocks, i may make one in laminate and have it look more like a sniper synthetic stock with thumb hole and grip but there will be a few different changes in the prototype, until deciding on the finalized design.I even thought of using nickel or chrome

    I want to build a custom pneumatic from scratch from my own design and configuration but like i said i will do it a bit at a time when im able has there is no rush for the rifle its more to test your own abilities to see if you can actually not only build the rifle, but build a rifle that not only looks nice but would give the production rifle a run for there money.

    Thats my thoughts precisely my friend not wanting to waste money just in case i cannot do the project.

    I have tried that my friend but you cannot get it anywhere and has i said there is no point in me buying it has i do not know if i can afford the machinery too do it with, its more educational purposes at the moment until i may be in a better position to build one.

    I would like to ask if anyone on site might have a copy of this book which they have scanned or saved in pdf or in any other format. If any member does have this book to hand i would be very great full if you would send me a copy to my email address, has it would be pointless in me buying the book. Has i am currently out of work, do not have the machinery at the moment, to do the project. I just want to have a good look through the book, so i can figure out what would be the cheapest machinery i could do the project with, and if i think i could even do the project on the budget i will have. H
