Afternoon all,
6 months ago I was posted to the concrete jungle of west London and missing the great outdoors and greenery of the Suffolk countryside where I’d spent a lot of my career.
Looking for someone to let me tag along with them on any ferreting trips in the near future. Does anyone ferret in London???
I don’t have ferrets atm due to work commitments but happy to come along and help dig etc. I’ll supply the bacon butties and flask of tea if you let me tag along.

I was asked to do a fallow cull on a large farm in Milton Keynes from a friend that is a farm hand. Went through the FAC process, DSC 1 buying the rifle in May 2017 etc only for it all to fall through.
Due to this and not having a permission locally I have decided to sell.
As mentioned the rifle is brand new, not fired once.

I have a mk3 locator and two collars where the locator seems to only work when your within a few feet in both search and locate modes and one of the collars won't turn on at all. Does anybody have any suggestions on rectifying the problems? I have tried fresh batteries, making sure nothing interrupting mobile phones etc. if not has anybody sent bits back to Deben? What sort of prices should I be looking at?
Any info would be great.

Well worth it mate you will be amazed at the opportunities you will get and the knowledge you can gain. I help out the local keepers and have learnt so much from them, get to do a bit of vermin shooting and generally have a good laugh. As mentioned a lot of it will be getting drinkers/feeders cleaned repairing and setting up rearing pens ready for the birds. All the best and enjoy

SWAP. AYA no1 12 bore Side by Side double trigger ejector shotgun will chuck in a canvas slip. Reasonable condition few marks to stock etc as to be expected. Would make a good rough shooting gun. I'm after a Deben mk3 ferret locater, purse nets, long nets etc. Just outside Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk/Norfolk border will travel within an hour or so. Face to face deal SGC holders ONLY

does anybody else on here use the net carrier like the one pictured worn by Ian Clayton on the YouTube videos? Anyone recommend them? Know where you can get them? Seems to make life a lot easier and less cluttered if moving around all day.

Little bit about me-
Born and brought up in Newcastle so still a Geordie at heart,
Hunted as a child with air rifles, catapults, ferreting, coarse and a little fly fishing etc
Joined H.M Forces when I was 19, still serving, seen some of the world mostly the dives.
Married with two kids now based in Suffolk so my kids sound like farmers.
Still do a bit of pest control on the local estate on pigeons and rabbits when I can get out.
Help the keepers in the rearing season as a bit of a hobby and beating during shooting season.
Occasionally at the clay ground but not as much as I need to.
Looking at getting back into a bit of ferreting as fond memories as a kid and my boys are at the age to get them out.
