A friend of mine used this cross breed for red deer back in 2000. But in most case's the hunt would range from 3-5miles so introduced a huski x alaskan malamute in to his bloodline for stamina. Shire Picardy x Grey, Dame Huski x alaskan malamute .. top dog for any quarry ... but obviously had to dwn size the breed after the ban .. such a shame as a top allround working dog
