hi there..I've just got my 1st ever whippet..9 months old now..I've got drakesford books and the working whippet..training is going well...to a point!
problem is if he's off lead & gets a strong ground scent he's off ...nose down zipping about like a mad dog..
won't come back to the whistle until he's done zipping..
I'm not sure whether to keep him on a long line...until I can get him to leave a scent..or just walk him elsewhere until his recall is more bombproof?
