  1. A chap I know here in oz uses a piece of red gel sheet over his NV monitor which seems to give moderate success with shy rabbits. My local bunnies are super shy at present due to a family of chickenhawks in a tree on the block, they've been hitting smaller rabbits really bad so now even at dawn and dusk they are really wary.

  2. Just placed an order for a HW100T here in Oz, will be fac .22 and no moderator as we have stupid laws allowing them in here.

Did the rounds here in Perth WA and did a test firing of a few different pcp's and high end springers, the HW100T won hands down for me, now just waiting for my fac addition to go through the local plod then it will be bunny time ! currently on a friends acreage where I'm camped in my RV watching bunnies run amok but a bit non neighbour friendly with the CZ 452 rimmy, hence the new toy.

  3. Hi all

I live in oz so all air rifles are FAC. I currently use a brno 452 .22lr for mainly bunny shooting.

I am thinking of buying an pcp for use in areas not too conducive to the rimfire. nod nod.

Been doing lots of googling and it seems most UK rifles are sub 12ft/lb, I am looking at something with a bit more umph !

Do these uk rifles come in higher power ratings for export ? I am currently in a country area so have no dealers near me to visit.

Been looking at an Airforce condor, but like the traditional look of maybe an Air Arms 510 in .22 or a BSA Ultra.

But open to recommendations from the knowledgeable here.

Sorry if I'm repeating questions asked previously, I've done a search but cannot really find anything too relavent.

  4. Hi

Just joined the forum. I lived in the UK for most of my early life, and emigrated to Australia in 89.

Used to live in Nottingham and regularly hunted vermin in the Notts area, with a shotgun and various air rifles.

Also did a bit of ferreting with my brother who was also into rough shooting and vermin control.

I now own a Bruno Classic model 452 bolt action .22 and shoot rabbits, feral cats, goats etc. whilst travelling around this great land downunder.

I am currently looking at rekindling my interest in air rifles hence arriving here after a few "Googles" .

Thinking of an Airforce Condor or maybe a Benjamin Marauder in either .22 or .25 calibre for use in some slightly more restrictive areas that are possible for a rimfire.

I am retired now so travel a lot in RV with my wife, and best mate, my springer spaniel Holly.

I regularly travel back to the uk to visit family and friends.
