  1. Does anybody know when roxby dog show in on this year
  2. he stands at around 22 tts and dont think he could catch a hare as he is not fast enough but if he got a good rabbit in the middle of a big enough field he would definatley have a good chance if you don't think he can catch it then defo don't run it!! plus very hot and wrong time for hares!! stick to the bunnys first yeah mate going to but when i walked him the other day there was a rabbit and a hare together and he decided to go for the hair instead of the rabbit haha but carnt fault the dog he is coming on really well
  3. i have 2 ferrets mate going to get him out ferreting when the season starts and he retrieving well also stock broken as sheep horses cows etc. don't bother him also iv been getting him to jump which is going pretty well as a few weeks ago he would barely jump up a curb now he is jumping 4 foot fences which is an improvement. i am going to keep on training him till the season starts and then get out with the ferrets and let him have a taste of the rabbits to keep him keen as he is extremely keen now and want him to stay this way Thanks for all the response

  5. Thanks for all the replies guys he has only had 2 runs but these where not at my shout as he was off the lead roaming around and spotted them and like you say it is better to wait and therefore me and the dog will see the benefit in the future and i am not the type of person that will sell a dog after a season i will keep them for life and to the guy running his pup at 3 month old you need a spade over your head.
  6. I have a 7 month old saluki x whippet and i didnt intend to start working him till he was atleast 12 months old but recently i was walking him and he saw a rabbit while off the lead and chased it but ever since when he sees a rabbit or hare he is raring to go and wants to run it is it bad to let him have the odd run to keep him keen or is it best just to not run him till 12 months ?? please share your opinions
