I got given 2 ferrets in September a jill & a hob, they live together in an outside enclosure. The hob had a vasectomy middle of February, the vet gave him all clear, but no advice on separation. About 2 weeks after vasectomy the hob started to mate with the jill, I checked her & there was no swelling. The mating has got more frequent, but not sure he's hit the spot yet. She's getting a little sore on the neck as well now. She is now swollen. I've separated them now. I've since been told that they should have been separated for up to 6 weeks & that the vasectomy could have reversed
