Hi All, I'm after some recommendations for good introductions to owning and training (to hunt) a lurcher or similar. I'm quite an experienced dog owner having always had a dog (tho currently poochless since my old pal died a year ago) but these have all been pets. I'd really like to be able to train up a good hunting dog and het it out there and working as they are intended to do. PS, sorry if this has been asked before.

hello all, Just a quick intro. Name's Mike. I live just south of St Albans in herts. Just getting back into hunting. Used to do a fair bit of air rifle hinting on my uncles farm over in Bucks when I were a lad (20 years ago!!!), but life etc got in the way. Now doing a bit of the downshifting thing, self sufficiency and the like (of which shooting/hunting will feature a part). Mostly interested in air gun shooting (till I can persuade the missus to sell some junk and clear me some space for a gun cab so I can get a SGC) but also dog hunting and mebbe ferreting. Got a few small shoots lin
