I'd go with the 6x42 for its simplicity as your more than likely to be hunting fur and feathers from 25 yards out.
Make sure you keep the receipt in case of any warranty claims though...
As most have said, go smartly dressed at a sensible time, be polite and be prepared for knock backs.
Above all keep trying and dont lose faith, sooner or later someone will grant you a permission most farmers are shooters and will understand
your difficulty in getting started.
Get some insurance (BASC/CA/SACA/etc) it shows your serious and responsable and good luck...
Totally agree with this, also by supporting the likes of "BASC / Countryside Alliance" you are supporting them campaigning for YOUR rights as a shooter/hunter/angler/etc..........
Hawke airmax is the same scope as panorama, same tube, same optics, AO, map 6 reticle designed for air rifle and is considerably cheaper. The only difference being illuminated reticle
