  1. Hi John, I haven't taken morr pictures at the moment. But if you are interested in general you can have a look at these pictures: https://www.google.de/search?q=wipprohrfalle&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:de:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=de&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=X2DWUKTJKeTw4QTd1oGYCQ&biw=1540&bih=840&sei=Y2DWUI8G6oziBLy5gNgI https://www.google.de/search?q=wipprohrfalle&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:de:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=de&tbm=isch&source
  2. Hi Erik, may I ask how do you get to know those traps ? Would have thought nobody out of Germany would be so "stupid" to do such an investment ? These pictures show the second step in our trap plan. The first four traps are out there for about 3-4 years and I am very happy with them (compared to our old traps)
  3. He folks, I am from Bavaria (south Germany). Merry Christmas and some quiet holidays
  4. Here in Bavaria we are not allowed to use wire cages, and also no snares, foot hold traps etc. I know snaring and those cages from a friend of mine in Spain. Thats why we have to use those monsters
  5. Different possibilities: 1. Wire trap (cage) where to predator goes inside when you open one slider (or you push him through) 1.1 Shoot him with a .22lfb 1.2. Shoot him with a shotgun You install a box with a Super X / Conibear trap and release the predator
  6. When I see the last to avatar pictures, of course ;-) Thank you.
  7. Yes. Legislations will (in my opinion) forces us in a couple of years to only use those. So we will prepare for it. what new laws are coming out We see a left and green movement in German politics (for example in the federal state Nordrhein Westfalen I expect a deep going changes in hunting laws). Dead traps will be forbidden, partdiges will be closed etc.

  9. Yes, they were all pretty healthy. In our region there is no Räude and Staupe (caniden diseases). Well, it seems there is no limite in new incoming foxes. Last years we had about 1 fox on 10 hectar.
  10. I am from the south of Germany. In comparison to the area you already know (Mosel) we have no wild boars. But times are changing at the moment. In general we have about 3-4 boars a year. This year our neighbors shot about 6. Most of the wild boars here are shot from high seats. It must be rough hunting up in Scotland ?
  11. Thank you. Hopefully there will be some more ;-)
  12. On the last picture: You have got the metal frame. At both ends you have two sliders (vertical) which close the tubes. In an 90 ° angle each slider has got a round steel welded on where the slider will be hold in the upper position. Through the whole frame goes a round steel in the top where three "fingers" (round steels) are attached. Two at the end which hold um the sliders and on in the middle of the frame where the upper end of the see-saw is attached. In the middle of the frame you set up a metal construction similar to a see-saw on top of the frame. Then you place three concret
  13. This autumn a friend asked us to helpe him out with some foxes in his fields. So we went there. It was a very quiet night. The light from the town was reflecting at the clouds. After some nice dinner we went out at about 23:00. We called at 7 different places. 7 foxes showed up but we only got three of them. At four in the morning we stopped calling and went home. All foxes had been shot with the .22-250
  14. HI, here are some impressions from our new traps. Because of upcoming changes in hunting law we are preparing with some new kinds of traps. It takes quite a time to set it up. But hopefully it will do its job for a very long time (if we have chosen the right place ;-) )
  15. HI, last winter was quite mild and we had a massive mast of oaks. So wild boars (wb) were well reproducing. Soon they were beginning to damage the meadows and fields so we had to take care of them. In one special place (a meadow next to a forest) they digged up the whole place in just some nights and turned it black. One night there were about 50 of them in three different groups. Fortunately it was a bit cloudy so the light reflections allowed it to shot one of them. A nice 62kg Ueberlaeufer. After that they haven't been seen for some weeks until: On the d
  16. HI, I am a hunter from Germany. In our country side we mainly hunt: roe deer crows all kinds of predators (foxes, martens ...) ducks hares some partridges some rabbits My key issues are: predator management habitat improvements supporting partridges and hares and if there is some time left waterfowling Our neighbours have to deal with quite a number of wild boars. But they haven't found their way to our fields yet. If you want to know something, please let me know
