yesterday I acquired three ferrets from a man packing up due to ill health, A black eyed white Jill, polcat Gill and a huge sandy Hob My question is are people finding there hobs are in season already? Due to the warm winter we have had? The problem is my hob is usually fine around other males but when I introduced him to my new Hob they wouldn't stop fighting so had to separate them. Regards Tom17

It's brilliant offer mate! I would take it but I only make the odd net whenever I loose one or one brakes so would be wasted on me So I'd rather it go to someone else to make full use of it

Yeah my friend who I go ferreting / shooting with his dad is a head game keeper so I go beating on his shoot every other Saturday

Yeah I'll consider that when i can afford to get one, may be a while until I get another long net just applied for my shotgun so waiting for that to come back Yeah dogs are brilliant I go out occasionally with a guy who has a Lurcher and it's enjoyable watching the chase

Yeah brilliant peice of kit I was I was out long netting last night and had 10 rabbits, Ah brilliant in trying to persuade my mum into letting me get my own dog

Yeah really good of him! Really appreciated it and yeah it's difficult but j guess it gets easier the more I practice

Yeah they weren't happy when a rabbit bolted out of the warren and disturbed the nest! They were chasing me and ferret lol Yeah he gave me his nets, long net and I have started knitting my own nets made 5 so far takes me ages per net

Finished the day with 11 rabbits. Same here last year was gutting doe rabbits around Christmas time which can young inside! I think I will wait a month now till I few of the warrens seemed to have wasps nests inside which was a bloody pain getting chased off my them and the poor ferret got stung (must have been deep inside as I couldn't see any wasps or the nest) Yeah I bet that just feels wrong ferreting in summer with all the cover high and I bet there was a lot of digging!

Yeah the two jills are doing great mate I think they are 6 now, we're out for the first day of the season tomorrow got a call from a land owner yesterday saying he wants them gone, bit early for me to start but need to keep the land owner happy! Okay brilliant mate I appreciate it.

Yeah bless him! I've got a young Hob around 16 weeks old at the minuet but won't be taking him out for a while and no worries mate I will give you a hand No work on at the minuet only work part time at a shop until I can find a full time job

Jarvis, unfortunately the job pasted away last week was devastated he was such a friendly guy however I found a large growth on his chest and was about to take him to the vets but found him dead the next day, Yeah sounds good mate in always up for a days ferreting
