Absolutely. A real gent who could not have been more helpful.

I spoke to Tony Wall today on the phone about my old TX200 and about a couple of other things in general. I am not a customer of his, have never met him, and have never even passed his shop let alone been in it. However, what a gentleman he is. He came over as a genuinely nice man and very polite and helpful. He even offered to help me via the phone to talk me through a few bits and pieces servicing wise. I will in the future be a customer of his as I plan to visit the shop and get a new rifle etc. It is nice to encounter people like Tony in this day and age where most of the time pe

I think Pianoman should have this photo as he's left handed

I am really impressed with the level of knowledge on here

No mate, you been here a lot longer than me so it looks like I've copied you lol

Whoever put that pic together certainly knows cats. Mine has the patience of a saint and will stalk a rat in a drain all day to get it. So I reckon a cat would make a good sniper lol.

Posting an Airgun? Just a quick question chaps...

Nice one Secretagent....thanks.. -
1/. Can I post by Royal Mail to have a gun tuned? Any restrictions? 2/. How is the best way to pack it up? Might be a stupid question this one but I don't think its as easy as it sounds lol. Want to send a 20 year old TX200 away to Tony Wall to have it overhauled and tuned etc.

Hi Pianoman. Tried sending you a pm but its blocked. Thanks for all the replies guys. I have turned mysel off pcp's....its been a hassle right enough over this divers bottle scenario. I didn't get it mixed up chaps, I was clearly told that the policy is not to fill any bottle for anyone that does not have a divers certificate regardless if it for diving or not. The local gun shop to me told me as such last week, yet I didn't listen because I thought he was very wrong. I still think there is places out there, but to be honest it has wound me up. Looking into a HW95 now which gets a

Skot. Love springers and your right - probably only target shooters use a standing position because they got to do that. I would like something light with a silencer. HW 97 is a brill bit of kit, just too heavy for me. Same as an Air Arms TX200, great guns but not for lugging around all day though. I know plenty do but to me I'm not a fan because of the weight. Secretagent, your not wrong but I come across this all the time in some form or other. It seems like they just made a policy not to fill unless a certificate is produced. Other than that I don't know and arguing is pointless because

It is a massive dilema if you have a gun and can only use it as a door stop! Sorry Donator but I have tried everyone I have been able to locate within a 30 mile radius and they all said no. Local gunshops don't really exist here, well there are a couple of places that sell guns but they don't have a clue either. I was told about this a couple of weeks ago (didn't listen), and have now given up on it because its winding me up. Oh there are plenty of places, but they wont fill a bottle unless I have a divers certificate. Wont go the pump route. I know plenty have no problems but there are

I have been doing some research into several models of Air Rifle and tried to break it down into a handful of guns before I go and look at them and purchase. I was pretty much all set into biting the bullet and going pcp (heavy expenditure at the outset) until I came across a major stumbling block - that being the Divers bottle. I simply can't locate anywhere they will fill a bottle without a divers certificate, even though I have explained its for an Air Rifle. A local chap I know had already told me that I would have problems and he was right! It seems that more places are now refusing t
