    Does anyone on here have the above cross ferreting? I'd also like it for the occasional fox, would one be up to that? I'm not sure if I'm in the right section, feel free to move it to a more appropriate section if you'd like mods. atb

    well hello and to answer your random questions 1) you can pick up a deben mk1 8ft for about £ 2) a longnet is ment to catch and hold, if you read up on nets most people say 4oz nets catch on everything so that would be my choice although 6 and 10oz are popular Thanks for the quick reply, where could I get one at that money and would that include a collar?

    You may have read it in James McKays the ferret and ferreting handbook, it says: "I never feed my stock on Sundays, a day of fast is good for all animals especially carnivores as it helps to cleanse the digestive system".

    Yesterday for the fifth time this year I had to leave a ferret in a burrow overnight, I've got it back each time alright but it's a pain in the hole and I'm sick of having to do it. So I've decided to invest in a ferret finder, I wouldn't mind spending €200 on a new one once it wouldn't depreciate by too much, could anyone tell me what the make secondhand Also could anyone tell me what strength the nylon in a longnet would want to be? Thanks lads
