    Great post from Duckwing going further back in the breeding of the north east dogs.the only other Ilmer sealyham types ive heard of were owned by 2 friends one called clayton whos breeding was used by jw in scotland.I think jw and the northeast men crossed or outcrossed between eachother.would like to see a few pics of sealyhams types what are still around and worked now. Its nice to see by the number of views these posts have had there still is a good interest in working sealyhams. all the best markantony WELL MARK , I KNOW OLD JW QUITE WELL ...................     I did not know that Duckwing...did you ever see PP's Jasper? I always thought he was a Sealyham of the stamp that MR and CR kept, but JM revealed the breeding a few years ago in an article in EDRD and I was shocked to find that there was Dachshund in there. I have heard the polce dog kennel story of how the north east boys got their first dogs. And also that they crossed bull in them but havent heard about the dachshund

    I did hear about Johns litter were they direct from jt or dogs you bred down from his line by yourself John as i heard some of the northeast sealyhams were very inbred. Its good to hear that people are still working and breeding sealyhams from all over the country. Sambas dogs look good the one with the black back patch and brown face markings looks a bit like my friends sporting lucas terrier.I saw the litter of pups posted on here about a week ago they were a credit to the owner at least with litters being bred theres no need for them to be rare or extinct.     Ive always wonderd were the sealyhams from the northeast and the ones in scotland came from originally were they the same lines . I wonder how much sealyham was in them compared to the russell or how inbred they was. Ive been told the northeast boys and the man in scotland havent got any dogs around them anymore (sealyhams) .I agree with john in that what is left with people on this site should be in touch so they can breed together without breeding to close.
