  1. Hello folks. Had a day off today and finally got around to testing out the twink. Am really impressed with it. Not even sure I'll fit a detwanger for now as the rifle is very quiet as it is. Might do some more testing and measure any sound from the location of the target to see if the slight sound from the air reservoir is worth bothering about. Am just looking forward to having a weekend off work now to practice my shooting and maybe fit a bipod to the rifle. Anyway, I'm glad I went with the twink.... I would be happy to recommend it. Thanks once again to Davy and everyone who has offered
  2. Can I just say thanks for all the advice that everyone has put up. After having a look at some of the reviews I decided to go with the twink. PM'd Davy who must have access to secret space age teleport technology judging by the lighting speed at which one arrived on my doorstep. He has really gone out of his way to kit me out with one quickly and now I'm itching to get out and try it. Since there is no chance of me skiving off work next week I have to travel back up the road tomorrow so next weekend or the weekend after I'll get out and have a play with it and let you all know how I get on.
  3. Cheers Tom! These are a new one on me. After having a look around on the internet I see some people make them. Is home made a suitable option or best to buy? TBH I'd be reluctant to fit it myself at this stage anyway, being so new to air rifles it might be worth paying a visit to the local gun shop. atb Munk
  4. Very kind offer Kev but I stay near to Fort William for most of the time so a long ways off from you by the looks of things. Shouldn't have any problems getting my hands on an adaptor. Nice avatar btw
  5. Cheers for the replies, the TWINK sounds well worth looking at.
  6. Good evening folks, I wondered if anyone here can recommend a suitable sound moderator for my .22 calibre Falcon FN-19 air rifle? From what I understand the manufacturer used to produce a standard sound moderator for their rifles but other sound moderators can be used with the aid of an adaptor? Does anyone have experience of which sound moderator will perform best with this rifle and am I likely to be able to source standard Falcon parts anyway since the manufacturer was taken over? I am not looking to spend too much but don't want to throw away money on cheap rubbish that doesn't
  7. Hello, Just thought I'd pop my head in and make a quick introduction since I've just joined the forum. Am basically just starting out with the air rifle for the time being but always keen to learn anything I can to do with hunting or working outdoors. I'm situated close to Fort William but have relatives in Tayside and Perthshire also, so I get to see a fair bit of Scotland. Hopefully will get into the swing of things soon enough and be able to make my own contribution to the forums. All the best. Munk
