  1. Im starting to plan my new kennels and runs out to build in the next few weeks , im putting in raised kennels with a box section inside and a hinged door on front , the dogs will have a warm bed area which can be cleaned out with ease and have its own door inside aswell so no heat is lost all that with a rubber flap on main enterance and some type of waterproofing (felt maybe) should keep my dogs happy
  2. Cheers tyla mate he keeps me happy
  3. I shared my night with you and you talk to me like a prick , and how the f**k can you say 4 minutes is bullshit . There is patches of cover and ferns everywhere when the dog is chasing it in and out it can happen . End of the day this is my first year hunting . Im done with this site too many idiots who like to try and belittle people . Later dickheads
  4. I had a call last night to do a bit of pest control as you all know. The permission ive got is quite new so i havent really been up there , its only 16acres and a bit hilly , in the phone call the landowner told me crops have been getting eaten , well when i got there and spoke to the guy he showed me what he meant i wouldnt exactly call them crops as it was basicly a huge allotment but the guy lives off his land so i suppose they are . I started off from the yard and as soon as i got into the first field the dog was pulling like mad , i flicked the lamp on and there was rabbit everywhere ,
  5. Will do write up in morning my foot killing me
  6. Its a callout ! I suppose i could let someone else do it and lose the land , do u have permission ? Or are you a keyboard hunter who doesnt know how to keep landowners happy
  7. Lol cant stomach eastenders , ill have to grin and bare it lol
  8. Just had a call from a landowner who got a problem with rabbits feasting on his new crops so looks like im going out to do some lamping , not exactly thrilled about it as i dont want to spoil it for when the season is back but i cant afford to lose the permission to someone else , my dog should be happy though lol Trinder
  9. Ive got terriers kenneled together which fight now and again and it can get quite nasty , i wouldnt risk it with a bull x cause youll end up with a dead terrier
  10. The black lurcher is my dog as is the terrier , the saluki in the one pic is my bro inlaws but ive done most of the work bringing it on as my bro inlaw a bit clueless lol ive asked a few times on here if anyone can hazzard a guess to the breeding of my lurcher as he is a rescue dog im guessing lab/whip/grey but not 100%
  11. So a whippet x or whippet size dog can take the same amount of stick as say a beddy/grey or a collie/grey x bull/grey on a regular basiss? Im not bringing smaller dogs down as its mostly the heart in the dog not the size but i cant see a 21tts collie whippet grey for example taking 3 fox a night 3 nights a week without having to spend time in sick bay , id also expect an allrounder to be able to catch daytime har3e or roe but thats just my view on the matter everyone different
  12. Not trying to be smart but whippet size imo wont be an allrounder , to me an allrounder will take all quarry on a regular basiss a whippet size dog would be in sick bay too much if tried to run fox regular , id suggest a bull/grey x collie/grey as an allrounder as it can handle anything if entered correctly or sub the bull for wheaton if you dont fancy a bull x
  13. A terrier wouldnt be my choice , terriers tend to want to kill anything that moves , my russell is mad for birds he chewed a hole in my gate to try and get to the house sparrows my next door neighbour puts food out for Atb whatever you choose Trinder
  14. Try and get out on a dig with someone that knows what they are doing and that has an expierenced dog and you and the dog will pick it up
  15. If its in his blood then he should self enter , get yourself a locator and a tidy round nose shovel . Do some research on digging to terriers to learn the basics and learn the rest on the job , a word of warning though dont enter a novice dog in rock piles and other undiggable places cause it can turn bad very quick
  16. Got a contact number for the guy ? Just incase my dog needs sorting pm me if prefered
  17. Whats the breeding if you dont mind me asking
  18. If the dogs from good working stock then it should self enter , what work has the dog done ?
  19. As long as its 12volt mate should be fine jus look at how many amp hours it is more ah equals more lamping time
  20. I prefer the short leg type aswell hate the leggy ones that could course a rabbit lol
