  1. i use my 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie dog for lamping mainly but if the lads are going coursing i bring him along and i've seen him make dirt of some good saluki bred hare dogs that are only used for coursing and i've seen rabbits make a show of some very good hare dogs

  4. Admit my pup does a lot of running. I'd have to keep her on the lead all the time otherwise, soon as i loose her she takes off like a rocket running figure of 8's like the devil is on her tail. Once she's let off the first burst of energy she's much calmer and focused. If i don't throw the ball she's likely to start the zoomies again once she gets her breath back, she just loves to run.

I take her out twice a day for 1-2 hours at the moment, any less and she's a total git to live with so what do you do, put up with a mad dog bouncing off the walls or take her out and risk over-excercising her at a young age?

    She is BARF fed.

I reckon we do at least 10 miles a day

What ever you do with a pup people will dispute it,its your pup do what you want  in reason of coarse

On saturday i had 3 members of here and other sites over the night was terrible a thick mist but hey nothing i could do about it

Anyway they wanted to go out so i said i would try to find a farm suitable to lamp,

with it being a bad night i asked could i take my pup or more would they mind,

Now there was a hitch though i said when they said they wouldnt mind at all as they wanted to see one of them the hitch was she had never been on a lead :blink:

anyway we set of and i kept having to pull her push her and must say i tripped over her as well but she had never been on a lead and caught 4 rabbits all retreaved to hand  and shes 6 month old but like i say its your pup no one knows your pup like you and good luck,

  5. easy easy,a pup will only run a rabbit when it wants to,

but more pups damage them selves runing around after each other or after the other dog then chasing a rabbit in an open field

Yeah i have stopped taking her out with my other dogs as she either crashes into them or they take her out when playing chase games. I can see huge vet bills or worse whenever they run together, at least when it's just us she only runs into me :icon_redface::laugh:

people say dont let your pup chase rabbits

but the same people let theres run around in circles chasing the other dog which is a lot worse i dont let mine do that as all they want to do is turn there head later on

but going in a big open field and letting a pup chase a rabbit if it wants to is less of a hazard then letting it chase a ball in a park with other dogs like most do,

  6. darren seems to be of the opinion that him and his followers are the only people who can represent the working whippet as a breed, and the only place it should be talked about is on the poachers rest,he has ruined the working whippet forum with his shite,it took him ages to get into the trusted zone on the bedlington forum, not becuase theres stuff on there he shouldnt see but becuase no one trusts or likes him,he kept whinning on there why cant i get in the trusted zone,a bloke who pms mods on most forums moaning about members who stand up to him asking for them to get banned,a real class act  the poachers rest would be a good site if it wasnt for him constantly bothering the members with his rules and opinions etc pms coming at you from all angles, cant wait to read his book.

well we agree there uno, suppose thats why him and mb get along so bloody well pair of big headed twats allways willing to put there dogs to the test rather then sit there typing away on a forum

  7. Is there a match purse involved?

If not may I suggest you take a leaf out of mb's book and the loser walks away leaving the internet and any other media related topics/books finito? That would be worth more than any amount of money changing hands?

    Y.I.S Leeview

which match was that agreed with mate  as if i remember rightly it was the fen match which he won Couldnt been the final of the lamping comp as he had already gone of here when that was run could of been the semi final though but iam sure it was the fen match.:laugh:Leeview,i read a bit of your stuff on here and moochers and to be honest all you do is pick fault,

mainly only on shows and run outs with members but between you and your mrs nothing comes of your fingers productive,

you seem to try to haunt darren :tongue2: your into your whippets why do you not have a run with him  now i would pay to see that :toast:
