No dog no time. Ferrets come to work with me a few times a week lol! Bit of a pain cleaning the shit off the floor in the cabin though. Just let em run round the floor

The lad who i go ferreting with says he dunt want me going out with him anymore on this land we got together cos he says im lazy!
I work 64 hours a week night shift, and a 6 hour day shift (straight after a night shift) have 2 kids i have to take to school and pick up, sort out ect. And a house to keep tidy. Im also married and my wife works full time so i usually get out ferreting once or twice a week. After not been to sleep.
I did a 16 hour shift last night and today was my last chance to sleep while the kids were at school until monday. Im working nights all weekend and got the kids during the day. Then my day job monday from morning till 3pm. Wife gets in around 8pm then i get to sleep
But he wanted to go out today and i said i couldnt and explained. He said im a lazy twat and he dunt want me going out with him cos he doesnt like lazy arseholes. And i put no effort in to go out
I dont think ive done owt wrong? Have i?

went out ferreting yesterday, and my mate brought his sons pet ferret, a fat over fed 2 year old jill whos never seen a rabbit hole in her life. and it turns out she the best ferret we use! she never holds on to the rabbits, and she bolts them everytime!
it was such a shock! she got us a nice 8 in the bag

It will be a little while before i use them. Gotta put chicken mesh along a big line of fence, as the rabbits can get through anywhere. Need to direct them into the boxes

I ferret near a working railway. Not so close that i would have to dig dangerously close. But close enough to make digging very hard. Give it a go though

Long story about how i got stuck. Bu i almost ended in a river.
I dont fancy going on his land, cos i didnt like him on mine. But i will catch him and av a word. Land is hard to come by. And if hes walking about leaving gates open ect, hes gunna get me kicked off. Not happy at all!

The rabbits were still warm. Thats how i know it was him. The rabbits were dead on my land, and the farmer said no one else has permission on that land. But! For the other lad, to get to his land he has to walk past ours.

He had permission on different land. But he lamped ours while we were stuck. Bit of a nasty trick in my book.

Went out lamping tonight for the first time. Ive never been but my friends have been doing it years. Tonight was the first night we have lamped this new permission.
When we got there, the car got stuck. And we had to get the farmer to pull out. While we were stood waiting a guy walked past, said he had permission further up than us. When the lad walked past he walked straight across our fields, we couldnt see him as this time. When we finally got out and started lamping there wasnt much about. And when we started walking about we found freshly killed rabbits. 4 in total! Cant believe it. What should we do?
