  1. I'm afraid it has all gone to far for the various clubs to unite. It would be easier to get the Jews and the Palestinions to make up. Even worse is the headlong rush for KC fame, some knickers are going to get twisted in that rush with some wedgies going in!

On the EPTR website is the call for exhibitors to learn ringcraft!!!! I thought they had enough experience in that already!!

At a show recently I asked a bloke with a nice young plummer if it had been entered, he replied *Yes, in the under 12 months, pairs and progeny classes! (A joke, to illustrate a point).

  2. THE CLIPS ON THOSE LEADS ABOVE ARNT WORTH THERE SCRAP VALUE .... THEY KNOCK AGAISNT YOUR LEG AND COME UNDONE ,,AND SOMTIMES THEY JUST COME UNDONE IF THE DOG PULLS WHEN HES SPOTTED SOMTHING OR IF ANOTHER DOG IS RUNNING SOMTHING .....THERE SHITE ...

Spot on! Gimmicks for the armchair hunter who collects paraphernalia!!

Leather lead with clip cut off when lamping in company or teach the dog to walk to heel and lamp alone.

  3. Saddam got hung because he was too arrogant to let the weapons inspectors in without playing around. Now that was dumb!

Let the Al Quasimodos set off as many bombs as they like, they will still not kill as many people as WWI or WWII. Lets put it into perspective. terrorism is a minor irritant in the worldwide scheme of things! Lets not lose our liberties by allowing governments to turn us into police states.

  4. Well done for this cracking thread!

On another KC note and similar to the bedlingtons scenario, I was at Stoneleigh show a few years ago with my dad watching a lakeland class. Along came a couple on the outside of the ring with the KC version and you could see by their faces that they were thinking that they had the genuine article......my dad and I thought this was hilarious!

  5. Hard blood was a phrase coined by Phil Lloyd. Lurcher breeders wanting to sell pups use it now. It basically means the non-kc whippet that has recent greyhound blood in them.

I once asked at a non'kc meeting what hard blood was and they looked at me like I'd sprouted a second head!! :clapper: They didn't have a clue what I was asking........ :icon_redface:

  6. Depends on the individual whippet, mine will wilt on cold & windy days so I run her with a jacket on. Her full brother is a different animal and the weather doesn't bother him

She will get stuck into cover and brambles and apart from breaking a toe when she was a pup has been injury free.

Forget the Laguna prefix, it is old hat.........just look through the whippet coursing form books.

Pick a big pup from racing or coursing lines, start early and have fun!!
