    scotts tiercel went free a couple of days ago ive been with him while hes been frew the training prosess and hes coming on great scott is allowing him more time on the wing tomorrow see if hel gain some height then with sum timeing serve him the lure whilest hes up scott will post sum pics tomorrow and update the progress

    a marshalls dont cost 800 you can get one for less than that. I have not come by a hh for 150 what site have you see one for that on as i will have a look

     

    cliff grovesys right lad marshalls cheapest is 590 receiver and 200 transmitter i bought a new setup last year and dats what i payed like i said dont buy cheap shit well the scout for a harris is cheaper than the micros i use

    It cost me just over £900 for my set up.. but you will get a good setup for less than that and just as good but you will still be looking at a good few hundred quid.

     

    i agree mate but cliff still needs to find sum1 local to him as i offerd if he wants to travel he could come along with me and see the birds hunt and the basic management and husbandry which is required but it is too far to travel its no good having all the gear,no idea :D

    no not really coz it was out the window on the mcdonalds carpark :rocker:

     

    now all jokes aside am not going to lie its hard enough for my spar to catch pigeon in level flight i fly my little ak out the car and the pigeons were muggings not really a good flight but the pigeon gives a good flight were her stuck to them and no matter what shes never let go of them i av only took 3 so its very few and far between but you would have to see it to beleive it if your only in leeds ur more than welcom to cum and see her she rides them like a cowboy and as got more courage than any other bird av seen

    Read a Hawk For The Bush by Jack Mavrogordato.. and read it well and keep reading it till it sink's in..the book i have here fell into my hand's when i was in junior school and only young..which will of been in the 80's ..back then i only liked picture's but as the year's progressed i started reading it more and more..i now have info in my head that wont go away and it is for the better hawk wise.. i did read other book's but not many matched the old one and any info that has sunk in is only furniture picture's.

     

    il second that ive got sum quailty books but this my best 1

    i have new books coming this week off the internet and i have all was had books from the library thats the 1st thing i did

     

    is right lad my collections a whopper now just bein given the flying of falcons by ed pitcher another classic to my collection

    you dont learn that in books

     

    cliff you learn alot from books i meself collect them the more the merryier you dont learn everythink from them but learn more with them than without theres some top class books out there if you had a passion for the sport you would want them mate if you want an american kestrel buy that book i told you about its a must

    marshall all the way mate i use the leg mount marshall micro transmitter but even them look massive on the little kestrel so am looking on purchaseing merlin special id say there perfect for the aks but the marshall micro will be fine for the british kestrel an sparrowhawks

    could u put a backpack on it and use ur current transmitter mate,i think u will have to make one but not hard to make mate

     

    i have been thinking about it mate but this little bird is a bad chewer am constantly changeing anklets and jesses she goes straight frew them lol hence why ive never tryed a back pack have used them on merlins like thanks for the input and all the best for the season

    ive just bought meself the

    Meindl Dovre Extreme

     

    and cant say how happy iam with them ive always wore meindl but these are sumthk else the ankle support is excellent

     

     

    They are an excellent pair mate, I have had a pair for over 12 years, they aren't waterproof anymore, the black band between the sole and the leather is coming off, but the leather itslef is still perfect, very worn but perfect, and the fit is second to none. You'll be pleased you bought them, not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for with that sort of item.

    jst tested them out mate while hunting me spar and your right the fit is second to none am really pleased with them and me spar jst made her second kill of the year so all was good

    definitly more gamey than our Euro Kestrals Mac. cracking little birds on their day :thumbs:

     

    yes mate alot more courage nothing to right home about like jasp 2 of the pigeons were pure muggings and the other was a top flight were i do bird clearence it was in a factory and the pigeon had no escape she just pursued for 3 laps of the factory it was like she new there was no escapeing her untill the pigeon paniced and hit the skylight and thats when she made the bind took me ages to pin point her with the telem it had dragged her under all the pallets i needed a forkliff truck to make in to her lol but she held it for 15mins so yes therev loads of heart mate
