Just outside newcastle. Does the fact of the bitch not being a working dog not concern you, could these still make good dogs?

I have a 3/4 collie whippet dog 4 years old 20 tts, very good lamp dog. My dad has a 4 year old ped whippet bitch 18tts and he's asked me to line it with mine and we would both be keeping a pup. The problem i've got is that his whippet is not a working dog and the pups would be a bit on the small side. What are your opinions on this?
