  1. Thanks guys, some really good points well made. I think I'll give lurcherlink a go. Skycat: you're right, he is working bred but it's not worth the risk - I'd rather he was in a happy home with plenty of scope for lots of regular exercise than him being passed around from pillar to post. Much appreciated. Ted.
  2. Thanks guys. The irony is that we took him from his first owner as he was going through a marriage break up but I've had no response from him via email. He said he'd been waiting years to get him bred. He might well be a member on here and see this post.
  3. Hi everybody, my first post on here so please don't bite. Sad news. I have a beautiful dog that I need to re-home due to a marriage seperation. I've not worked him as he's just been kept as a pet. My wife and I took him at 16 weeks. His mum and dad were Irish greyhound and Doxhope - but I'm not sure which way round. I'm not being cagey I just know very little about these things. He's black turning grey/brindle and has been living with another male lurcher. The reason I came on here was because I'm sure he would make a great working dog. I thought this a good place to ask some advice.
