  1. thanks clint , i brought some varget for the 308 a while ago and used it on some 150 grain loads but it didnt go very well but with diffrent heads , wwho knows . it nearly duplicates h380 powder but my barrel didn't get on with it , but will try again with these speer heads . thanks mate , ps is dad using 130 grn heads ?

  2. just been looking in the loading shed and found a old box of speer 130 grn flat base sp bullet heads in 308,

    but cant find any loading data for them in my speer no 12 loading book, there is some data for a 130 grn hollow point

    part no -2005 but these are part no 2007, has any one got any upto date loading data for these heads please ,

  3. hi all can anyone recomend some one to repair a listenfeld scope for me , very good scope , pity to chuck it away . the company went bust several years ago , but not sure if they were brought out by a digger company ie doctor etc .

    does eny one know where i can buy a whole deer carcass from i have been serching on line but can only seem to find various cuts of meat i live in hertfordshire so if enyone can supply me with one let me know how much they would charge

    i dont mind what spechies of deer it is

    hi there , would find out your yellow pages and find your local game dealer or forestery com larder , both sell venison but fc may well be cheeper

  5. not sure of the use of expanding ammo in afganistan seeing as as they arnt a regular fighting force , if the enemy is classed as a terrorist ogganisation then the geneaver convention dosn't apply , so expanding ammo may be used . and sure it has been in london to cut down on over penatration in crowded areas ,

  6. as for the us using 6mm next , iv seen some bumf that they are now looking at 6.8mm with 130-40 grain heads , the battle field has changed so munitions will have to too , they revaluate all new wildcat rounds every year to see whats new . 50-60 grain fmj appears to be poor against mud hut ! 12 bore slug = much better !!
