  1. looking at what your purposes are,i would recommend a .22wmr (magnum),if its mainly magpies,crows e.t.c your gonna be taking out you dont need a hornet as here in ireland a box of rem. 45g hollowpoints are 45 euro for 50,plus its not only expensive for crows it will also proberely pluck the bird when you hit it And 17 shells arnt that much cheper either,my local dealer charges 25 euro for 20!So if your not gonna be going all out for foxes the magnum will suit you ideally as you can get a good choice of round from federal,rem. or hornady for bewteen 15 and 20 euro for 50 shells,also if you hav

Hi guys, I do a lot of fox shooting in good open country and am currently looking to upgrade my krico .22wmr for something with a bit more bite..I find its range is fine upto about 120yards but im looking for something that wont break the bank regarding shell price has good flat shooting and I can be certain of a kill upto 200yards or so away,ive been advised on a few different cals. such as .22 hornet,.204 and .223 but im not sure which one would be most suitable,any advice would be greatly appreciated
